Anointing of the Sick

The Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick is one of the seven Sacraments of the Church. Any member of the Catholic faithful who is in danger of death, becomes seriously ill, is injured or is suffering from a decline due to advanced age is encouraged to receive this Sacrament. One need not be at the point of death.

For example, one ought to request this Sacrament before undergoing serious surgery or any procedure where there may be some risk either because of advanced age or because of the serious nature of the procedure.

The Sacrament can be repeated, even during the same illness, when the illness is prolonged or when it becomes more serious.

Anointing of the Sick at Mass
During the season of Lent and in the fall, the Sacrament is offered in church during a special Anointing Mass. Watch this page for upcoming dates.
The next Anointing Mass will be during Lent of 2021. Watch this page and other All Saints media for announcements of the exact date.
Due to COVID protocols, we ask that those wishing to be anointed preregister by calling 952.469.4481 or by using the signup below.

Requests for the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick can be made at any time. If you wish to be anointed, or if you have questions about this Sacrament, please call Fr. Tom Wilson or Fr. Joseph Gifford at 952-469-4481.
