Young Voices Choir (Grades 2-7)
Does your child love to sing? Join the Young Voices choir to experience the JOY of singing the beautiful music of our Catholic faith at Mass. Singing in choir gives children the opportunity to use their gifts and talents to bring glory to God, lead the congregation in prayer, and expand their musical skills.
Rehearsals (choose one):
Track I: Tuesdays from 2:30-3:30pm in the Church
(2nd and 3rd graders only stay for the first half hour)
Track II: Wednesdays from 4:30-5:15 in the Church
(ideal for students registered in Wednesday night FEP classes)
Track I and II rehearse separately, but sing for Sunday Mass together.
Sings for Mass: 9:00am Mass, once per month, as well as Mass on Christmas Eve.
Rehearsals for the 2019-2020 year will begin on September 24th and 25th. Email Rebecca at firstname.lastname@example.org (952.469.6476)
PBJ (Praise Be Jesus!) Teen Choir
PBJ is the music ministry arm of All Saints Peer Ministry. It is comprised of middle school and high school singers and musicians, and provides worship music for various Youth Life and parish events. In particular, PBJ sings for Fusion nights, high school Life Nights, Confirmation retreats, and 11am Mass once per month. The PBJ repertoire is mostly contemporary praise and worship music. PBJ incorporates a variety of instruments along with vocals, including piano, acoustic guitar, percussion, and flute.
PBJ participants are not required to attend every PBJ activity, but can pick and choose as their schedules allow. The rehearsal schedule and Mass schedule are as follows:
- Mass: 2nd Sunday of every month (rehearsal before Mass at 10:15am.)
- Rehearsal: Wednesday before each scheduled Mass from 5:30-6:15pm.
Our adult choir sings a variety of liturgical music ranging from chant and classical music to music by living Catholic composers. 9:00am Choir members also sing as part of the Festival Choir. Teens are welcome.
Rehearsal: Wednesdays 7:00-8:30pm during the school year (during Festival Choir season, 9:00am Choir stays until 8:45pm to rehearse music for the following Sunday)
Music for Liturgy: 3 times per month at the 9:00am Mass, September-May
Singers from many ensembles come together as a Festival Choir to prepare music for Christmas and Easter, in addition to other Holy Days and special events. Teens are welcome. Rehearsals: Wednesdays 7:00-8:15pm, beginning 6 weeks before Christmas/Easter;
Music for Liturgy: Christmas Midnight Mass; Easter Triduum; Occasional special Masses (ex. Confirmation; outdoor Mass for Fall Festival)
Currently an all-female ensemble, this quick-learning group is a great choice for singers who are not able to attend a weeknight rehearsal, but can practice at home. Repertoire includes music by contemporary Catholic composers, and is accompanied by a band.
Rehearsal: Sundays at 10:15, when scheduled to sing at the 11:00am Mass
Music for Liturgy: Twice per month at the 11:00am Mass, year round
11:00am Man Choir
Calling all male singers! You are warmly invited to join Man Choir! Come to sing, praise the Lord, and to spend time in fellowship with other men at All Saints. You do not need to be able to read sheet music, or have had any previous choral or group singing experience. If you’re a man and you love to sing, come join us!
The time commitment is very manageable! The Men’s Ensemble sings at the 11am Mass on the 4th Sunday of each month, and there is one evening practice the week before.
- Mass: 4th Sunday of the month at 11am (10:15am rehearsal)
- Rehearsal: Thursday before each scheduled Mass from 7:15 - 8:15pm
