Holy Spirit it happens at baptism we are configured to Christ and we are saved from our ends and the gates of eternal life are open for us at that moment yet in that in that we we here in the gospel confirmation now some Mainline churches have done away with confirmation because they say it's not in the Bible  and now that word doesn't appear but the reality we see it right here  Peter and John the apostles, they lay hands on people and the Holy Spirit reins Mount upon them and their hearts are moved  so we see the value of it and then if you talk to your turn friends Fury at a cocktail party say why why do you have confirmation separate from baptism in the Acts of the Apostles because of the Eastern church baptism confirmation and Eucharist are all received at once can you receive them at different times their intricately intricately connected because when we receive Jesus when we are sitting we want to go out and Proclaim that to others and that race that enables us to do that is build upon us at confirmation not as our call brothers and sisters to go out to witness what's in the world  but remember what it says here if you love me you will keep my Commandments I will ask the father and he will give another Advocate to be with you we need to let go of past sins we need to let go of past hurts we need to let go of which keeps us from clinging to Christ and to the Holy Spirit  there's a choice to be made there but not only that as Jesus promised to send another Advocate another paraclete we too are called to be a how do we do that well one when someone struggling and faith  are we ourselves are struggling we are to reach out our hand where to lend them our hand until walk with them  where to walk with them in the dark till they receive the light  because that's the greatest witness to be Side by made with someone  so that's the first step we walk in the Christian charity with our brothers and sisters  but secondly Peter tells us that we should be ready to give an explanation for our Reason for Hope if someone asks us that's important we should be ready to give testimony for a Reason for Hope now there's an important part if someone asks you or there's an opening it doesn't have to be long  it can be pork and sweet this is why we should and you should all take time to look back on your life and that a moment were Christ Ken  giving a testimony a simple one what happened before you met Christ or the church or you had a conversion maybe there was a dark moment to how to Christ break into that and three how did your life change so before during after and simple and we see that with Alec Alec was looking and he had some preconceived notions about the church but then this little boy held his hand and walked with him and he encountered Christ in in through that child in his life was not the same afterwards  I miss my brothers and sisters this is the grace of confirmation we are to be another ad because we have received the advocate and we are to give him away to others as well and when we give away it actually increases the power of the Holy Spirit within us  where to do that because  father extended his son to us in Rush Spirit he reached out his hand to us  can you help us by the hand and he walks with us should we not do the same and extend our hand to others and give them the Holy Spirit as well
