About Me

Greetings!  I am glad to join the team here at All Saints as Director of Early Childhood Formation.  I serve our youngest disciples of Christ in the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) Atrium.  I work with Fr. Mike and our Mission Partners on Baptism preparation.  I also serve as a contact for Spanish-speaking members of our community.

Brief Bio:
I grew up in northwestern Wisconsin in a family where faith was always central to life.  As a youth I was able to attend my parish school, which showed me the beauty of a Catholic education and living in community with others who strive to live life close to the Lord.  That experience of a loving, faith-filled community left a big impact on my life’s trajectory.

Seeking to continue to grow in knowledge of the Faith and in friendship with the Lord, I decided to attend the University of St. Thomas, in St. Paul.  At St. Thomas I earned degrees in Theology, Catholic Studies, and Spanish.  Upon graduation, I served in the Alliance for Catholic Education through the University of Notre Dame—teaching High School religion and Spanish while earning a master’s degree in Education.  I spent 10 years teaching at the High School and Middle School levels until God called me in a new direction—Early Childhood.

It started very simply, teaching “Sunday School” for the 4–5-year-olds at my home parish.  Then, I was asked to attend training for the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) and start a new Atrium.  I didn’t know how much goodness the Lord had in store for me when I agreed to take on this ministry!  It led me not only to become trained in Levels 1-3 of CGS, but also to train to become a Montessori Adolescent Guide.  That was over five years ago now, and I have been immersed in the world of Montessori education and Catechesis of the Good Shepherd ever since!

My husband Dan & I live in Eden Prairie with our three children Helen (10), Ryland (7), and Ruth (4). In my free time I enjoy baking, crafting, singing, and going on walks with our Husky-Lab, Copper.

Interesting Facts
I am a sprinter who rather ironically became a marathon-runner.
I studied in Rome for a semester with Catholic Studies—the Spring that JPII passed away and Benedict XVI was elected!  Memories to last a lifetime!!!
I would choose a getaway to the mountains over the beach any day.
