Youth Formation for children PreK-Grade 4 programs will enrich your child’s spiritual journey and allow them to explore and deepen their faith.

In Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS), children grow in their relationship with Jesus, the Good Shepherd. They discover that he knows all his sheep and calls them each by name. Jesus searches for the lost sheep and rejoices when one is found. Through this journey, children come to understand that the Good Shepherd lays down his life for the sheep, and that his life and light are stronger than any darkness—even death.
They learn that Jesus is risen and shares his risen light and life with all people through Baptism. Children also receive the proclamation of the Kingdom of God: that it is like a precious pearl that may be found, and like a mustard seed that grows. In CGS, we help lay the foundation for a life of prayer—learning how to enjoy spending time with God and how to listen to his Word through Scripture. Once a month, children in grades 1-4 gather to grow in faith and friendship with Jesus! Each session begins with an engaging whole-group Bible message, helping kids hear God’s Word in a way they can understand and apply to their lives.
Afterward, in groups of 10-12, children rotate through small-group learning stations with their parent leader—Bible Adventure, Saints & Virtues, Games, and Crafts—where they explore the faith in fun and meaningful ways. The time together concludes with a closing message to help children apply what they’ve learned to their daily lives.
This is a place where kids discover what it means to follow Jesus, deepen their love for God and others, and learn how to live as saints-in-the-making.
**Our motto: Love God, love your neighbor, and become a saint! **
