two weeks ago we celebrated the Feast of the Epiphany the Lord's Glory shown to the dacians the major I coming to work them representing the first time that the Gentile nations were called by Christ last weekend we celebrated the baptism of our Lord Jesus Christ recalling him down to the river to John the baptizer coming out of the water and The Voice Was Heard this is my beloved Son listen to him the Holy Spirit hovering over him like a job making his presence known the second revelation the third is today as our Lord goes to a wedding and reveals begins to reveal in signs and wonders who he goes no I'm not going to focus on asking and pointing to our Lord Wonder focus on the wedding and his sign a wedding what a normal event uh Jesus shows up with his disciples is there a very normal human event he reveals himself if you calculate how much wine he wed made 30 gallon jar makes approximately 12 to 14 cases there were a number of jars it is a symbol of tremendous outpouring of God's love of his desire for us to know that to participate in that if you listen carefully to the words of the first reading this morning from the prophet Isaiah it might make some of you uncomfortable Fort listen again to these words I shall call you by a new name in other words there's a change you shall be a glorious Crown in the hand of the Lord Jeffers think of yourself as such Jefferson gov the church as such a royal diadem beautiful crown for the Lord but even more you shall be called my delight when was the last time and you I said that to you was that is God's word to you today Don and ready to marry hopes and dreams desire Joy just overwhelmed with goodness that's how the Lord sees us you trained everyone of us in our world today there are many who don't know are places have given up or see that they have no value no hole and yet these are the words of our Lord Jesus Christ to us as Heroes review self beginning with that miracle that sign not Wonder in Cana from the second reading of Paul's letter to the Corinthians do you still doubt you still doubt how dear you are to the Lord because I think that's a hard one of the harder things for us to grasp is that God loves us David lights and us what does Paul write to each individual the manifestation of the spirit is given for some benefit but I don't know what the gifts in the one of the Holy Spirit are in your life but just think not only are you loved espoused taking Delight in but God has given his very Spirit to acting you too manifest the presence of the Holy Spirit the third person of the Blessed Trinity in your life for the community we don't offer under that thanks Gifts of healing Mighty Deeds prophecy Destroyer moment of spirits variety of tongues interpretation of it's the spirit that does that gives us the virtues the gifts of the Spirit such an outpouring of love Is Just mind-boggling to us little creatures that the father loves us has revealed it to his son and has given us his spirit because all that we have all we are is gift from God and we are broken we need to do something to be very aware because I'm giving that when you truly loved you just want to give you can't hold on to it you want to give it so when are we leaving out of those gifts which the Lord has given me that our senses intellect our families are friends are abilities health illness whatever whoever we are whatever gift from God the gift of the spirit is that a gift I want to encourage you to live a life of balance in other words a life of of temperance and I'm not merely speaking of don't overeat don't over-drink those things know to live a life even further so that you can be happy and Lube those gifts it's a balance Bearden AR Recreation and pleasure our work we can come off-kilter why we're broken work is good we were given work before the fall but sometimes we can make work a God and we become Workaholics find our identity in that enough do not spend time in prayer give up on worship do not spend supper time with spouse or family that's an imbalance use your ability of work your call to work of expression and creativity from the from the Creator help me early to become a god but you use that gift to serve the Lord to serve family and spouse in community recreation all screwed up even there we need balance do you like watching movies like I do it means that you have to can't sit in front of a screen all the time do you love sports but if it causes disharmony in the family arguments lack of time with family lack of time in prayer or even pull you away from worship just to be a good Alpha it's an imbalance there's a lack of love for God neighbor and self Don is empowered us with his love he just loves us but he wants us to live that freely live life freely and him I hope that you will use well the gifts and manifestation of the play spirit in your life to build up this community to build up the church here in Lakeville to become a beacon of God's goodness and as you in the song Proclaim His Marvelous Deeds to all the nations begin with your own neighborhood speak to them tell them what God has done in your life you need not convince them you nearly need to share the story of The Marvelous Deeds God has done and your home in your community in our world
