I have a very good friend from the past era of my life who would we were undergraduate students was really a brilliant student in the in the Natural Sciences in fact got it I got an award some sort through her Department of being like the top undergraduate female science student in the in the country in 1980 Something I'm not going to completely reveal it all right but she was she was brilliant and had a magnificent future in particularly in the in the academic science were all then and she has she has fulfilled that and one of the things that she tells me she's in that she's in the chemistry feel I couldn't tell you much more details of that cuz it's it's Way Beyond anything that I that I would understand certainly from a technical area but one of the things that she told me years ago and continues to to tell me is that the speed at which Natural Sciences are discovering new things about the world that we live in is going at an exponential rate I mean that the discoveries are are really amazing and every once in a while you'll see something in the in the news that says something but the things that are happening that most of us don't hear about our are still at are happening at at at a rapid rates and and they end in just discovering the the cruise of the natural world is is happening so quickly and as she engages in these discoveries she hurt her faith continues to grow her faith continues to grow at the at the magnificence of the plan for creation that that obviously in her her her perspective of faith that God has has put in motion and the complexity and the beauty and the and the and the Brilliance it would that it would have taken to it to to create at the end of creed and order that frankly all scientists understand and believe that there's some order and that's really what they're with their life is about it's about discovering the order and how things work and and and all of the but every time she sees something like that her faith grows cuz what she sees behind it is a Divine Master Divine planner who has who has created all that's not all of her peers would would accept that nests Sara Lee but it she sees it she recognized she recognizes in the in the in the details and the in the Magnificent sit in the complexity of of the order the presence of the presence of God and anime that frankly is is there for for us to discover in to learn and hopefully to be able to to be able to serve people with and the end and the truth is that we wait we have a we have a culture in a world AIDS day going to term culture of disbelief in which there's a lot of people that really they they sort of believe and kind of the overall presence of God but what they don't believe in necessarily is a guy that actually actually enters into individual lives a lot of my friends. I suspect would be that they would call them deists their good God has created something and then started gets out of the way and leaves it for us to to figure out but there's real no personal relationship between God and people are God and in fact as us as as individuals they would never never look at at at God as as some sort of a source for direction in in their online and we know as people of faith it is completely contrary to to the way we live we trust and we we believe that God actually has a plan not just for the world that we live we are not just for the natural order that how many people dedicate their lives to figuring out and an end helping us to to use for the for the benefit of The Human Condition in the Human family but for us as individual stress as individuals that God truly has a plan and when I talk to people who really struggle that I would not calling you out confirmation students but it it's it's a it's an issue with with people in and your generation okay and your generation that there's this there's this thing about a about a God we talked about it in in class a time or two that the God is that God might be there but that God doesn't necessarily really interact and what I see happened there is it real try to create a sadness creates a heaviness in a sadness in in Hearts because I because I simply don't trust it or or believe it and it's certainly not limited to two young people in probably an awful lot of people that the kind of live that in that shadow of may be believing that God is out there and God might have created the natural order but is he really care about me does he really care about me does he really have something in store for me how to say unequivocally yes unequivocally yes he's got a plan and today when we celebrate the immaculate conception what we are doing is reminding ourselves of God's direct intervention in the human family God's direct intervention to save the world God's direct intervention in a particular person the Blessed Virgin Mary in order to restore a Fallen World Ski does get involved he got involved only with Mary he got involved personally with the world and we we recognize we recognize what happened from the story of Genesis what happened they they weren't they were given frankly a very very simple command don't touch that fruits you can have the rest you can have all the rest they get tempted they touch the fruit they take everything crashing down and not only does it crashed down but think about it think about it the interaction between God and Adam and Eve is absolutely classic and I suspect you probably had these conversations your own family multiple times why did you take the Apple she made me do rats why did you take the apple he made me do it and then this starts this starts and it starts for all the rest of human history that's not necessarily my fault I participated in but it's got to be someone else's fault and whoever's fault it was God said we're going to fix its we are going to fix it by entry into the World by divine plan to restore creation to restore Humanity through the person of Jesus Christ there is a plan and that plan is responded to by Mary to say yes to say yes to carrying Jesus the savior of the world to say yes to her part her part in restoring creation so that all of us can live the plan of God in our life which in the particulars hey we need to discover on our own we need to engage God and and find that out in the big picture we know Paul tells us that we were created from the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sights to be holy and blameless famous sites that only comes through the grace of God that only comes through a yes to the presence of God in our life that only comes from a yes to cooperate with his plan in our life that's really what it's all about it's really what it's all about as we celebrate the immaculate conception and Mary's Mary's creation to be part of the plan of God for Universal salvation and restoration of the natural order in the Supernatural order within a heart Souls of of all of us when we do that we also we also recognized the plan of God in our own lives that he that is in fact has a plan but we have to trust it we have to trust he actually has a plan that he actually wants to intervene in the world that he didn't just create this Marvelous World and creation and then back off and say here forget it figure it out for yourselves know he's got a plan for each and everyone of us that we need to trust in and cooperates and when we trust in it and we cooperate with God and actually engage with him and ask what is your plan for me what is your plan for me please reveal its and he will cooperation and Trust then will allow us to see it and to live its tonight to to the this morning we rejoice in the gift of the Blessed Virgin Mary rejoice in her yes to to be part of God's plan the restoration of of creation we can also recognize and Saturday I know people are really busy but to take a little time to reflect on the particular plan that God has for you is he. He does he's made a Marvelous World with an intricate order that is that that gives people lots and lots of things to investigate and to test in to help Creation with but he also does it within our own hearts for each of is individuals reflect on and ask God what the plan is for you for each and every one of us and when we trust and cooperate we will also see it and be able to follow it
