Faith Formation Mission Partner Roles

 
Sharing the Faith with Young People as
Mission Partners
Lead a group of eight to ten teens through small group processing, relationship, and catechesis. The main priority is to journey with and be a role model for teens. Commitment is two Wednesdays per month. 5th-6th is from 6-7:15pm and 7th-8th is from 6:30-8:pm, October through May.
Boys and Girls Club is run by parents and mission partners. There are several ways you can help this program succeed. Roles are outlined below!

Lead a group of eight to ten teens through small group processing, relationship, and catechesis. The main priority is to journey with and be a role model for teens. Commitment is two Sundays per month from 10:30am-noon or two Wednesdays per month from 6:30-8pm, October through April. 
Sundays at the 9 & 11 Masses, 2x/month.
Hour-long hour sessions where whole families come together.
Six Sessions, 90 minutes each. Parents and children start and end in a large group, then children break out for 45-minute lessons given to groups of 12-15.
 
When: Sundays, 3-4:30pm. 3 Sessions for First Reconciliation (Oct/Nov) and 3 for First Communion (Feb/Mar). 

 

Roles:

Lead Catechist - Teaches 45-minute lessons to groups of 12-15 children as part of the Parent & Child Sessions. Sessions take place Sunday afternoons. There are three sessions in the fall for First Reconciliation and three in the spring for First Eucharist. Lead Catechists are also invited to lead presentations during Activity Day.
Assistant - Supports the lead catechist by aiding them in the duties and supervision of the children during the breakout lessons.
Office Aide - Helps with the preparation of materials, paperwork, and activities leading up to each session.
This is an opportunity for adults who love teens, want to have fun, and bring awesome ideas to our middle school youth. Commitment is five times a year at the social events with all middle schoolers from the parish August-May. 
This is an opportunity for adults who love teens, want to have fun, and bring awesome ideas to our high school youth. Commitment is the last Wednesday of each month from 6-8pm starting in August. 
The Little Flowers program is completely run by mission partners. There are many ways mission partners can help including, planning meetings; acquiring project materials and prepping for activities; leading activities; teaching at the meetings; assisting at meetings; setup and cleanup for meetings; parent communication and meeting summaries; and providing and serving snacks at meetings.
