FMSC MobilePack Is Back!

February 4-9, 2019

Feed My Starving Children, along with about two dozen area churches, is once again holding the South Metro Mobile Meal Packing Event. The 2019 event will take place the week of February 4-9 at Berean Baptist Church, 309 County Rd 42 E, Burnsville. All Saints is a sponsor church again this year. The overall goal for the event is to engage 10,000 people in packing 2 million meals and raising $500,000.00. This is a great opportunity to be of service to those most in need in our world. Don’t miss out on this corporal work of mercy - feeding the hungry. 


How to get involved and support this project . . .

1. Individual Sign-up: Our parish goal is to fill 700 spots with All Saints Mission Partners over the course of the Mobile Meal Packing Event.

There are 19 shifts over the six days of this Mobile Meal Packing Event. Also, there are set-up and clean-up shifts on Sunday afternoon, Monday morning, and Saturday evening. You can sign up as an individual or create your own group with friends and family. Be sure to indicate that you are part of All Saints' community effort by listing your group under "All Saints Catholic Church Lakeville." Get started by clicking on "Individual Sign Up" above. Click on "Mobile Pack Events," then "select an upcoming event" for "South Metro Mobile Pack, Burnsville." Childcare is available for Tuesday - Friday, 5-7pm or 6-8:30pm shifts and Saturday, 11am -1pm & 2-4pm. Childcare reservations can be made by contacting kellyk@bereanbaptist.com

2. Join an All Saints Group: Would you like to serve at the Mobile Meal Packing Event with fellow All Saints people? There are four "at large" groups that have already been created which you can join (listed below). You can also search for other groups that have been formed by fellow parishioners. Get started by clicking on "Join an All Saints Group" above.

All Saints Faith Formation families who wish to participate in the shifts on Wednesday, February 6 at 5:00 – 7:00pm and 7:30 – 9:30pm can sign up at FEP Central
 
All Saints Catholic School (Middle School) students and chaperones will serve at the Mobile Pack Event in conjunction with the celebration of Catholic Schools Week on Wednesday, February 6, 9:30 – 11:30am. Sign up for this group is through the School. 
 

3. Donate to this Event: In addition to donations of time and service, FMSC needs financial support to cover the cost of the ingredients, packaging and shipping of these meals. All Saints' goal is to raise $2,900.00 from individual donations. In order to track donations toward the parish goal, please make your donation through the parish. The funds will be sent to FMSC at the end of the campaign. Donations can be made in a number of ways through the end of February.

In addition to individual donations, a parish tithe; proceeds from the 2018 All Saints Gala Cake Auction; and Christmas Wish List sponsorships have been designated to the Mobile Meal Packing Event.

Note: An appeal to donate financially is made at all of the shifts at the Mobile Pack event. Donations made at the event cannot be credited to an individual church's fund raising goal.

General information about the Feed My Starving Children, South Metro Mobile Meal Packing Event

is a Christian non-profit organization committed to feeding God’s hungry children in body and spirit. The approach is simple: children and adults hand-pack meals specifically formulated for malnourished children, and these meal-packs are shipped to distribution partners. FMSC meals have reached nearly 70 countries around the world.
