for me nearly broke my relationship my marriage with my wife which would have had us separated from our as well as our three kids affected our three kids to Matt affected me and my relationship with my wife countless times that I'm trying to hide my addiction I was deceitful would like I would try and when it play her into thinking that what she was seeing was not real would basically push things off to her as being too sensitive and it just really put me in a position of withdraw to my relationship not really being there not being present not seeing her as truly a partner in my relationship that I can rely on and share some of these deep fears these concerns and and kung fu with the struggles that I had had I actually needed to be called out in order to seek help for what was identified as a  addiction and that stemmed from many years from being a teenager to a young adult and I can say individually for myself as well as many of my brothers in recovery will identify that there is a deep sense of personal shame that comes with addiction Ashley this one for  because it is it seen so negatively really in so many walks with her little in public or elsewhere and for that reason it can be very hard to come forward so you sit in isolation struggling not knowing who to turn to who does sea kelp from who he can trust and confide in to share the message of your struggle and just said you're you're beating yourself up you know I'm emotionally spiritually can be very difficult because it violates just a very moral fabric of sexuality as it's taught in church and hit me come forward even from a confessional standpoint just and then coming back again and again because it's something that an addiction you just aren't able to free yourself from for those reasons it's it's just something that I would not I would not wish upon anyone the struggle with  is real it is hurtful both to the individual as well as people who are they are closest to and it takes a lot of work to undo on find out really what the core of the addiction stems from and resolved that in order to free for yourself from it when individuals struggling with  I would Advocate first off just abstinence it can be very difficult when you're can your addiction to just stop using an acting out to but that is step one and really helping yourself move away from the the biochemical result but that is content to be the real draw from finding forms of help there are counselors out there but there's some that specialize this in this topic and it's important to connect with individuals who can help to understand the addictive process helped understand that hurts that can occur both within the individual as well as in relationships then they can offer some or through you know whether be individual and group therapy they're also web-based programs that are available that can be very helpful for individuals who have access to technology and the web and then there support groups you know so having ongoing regular recurring meetings and where you can have some validation to the experience that you have you can to get some here stories of others so you can offer support and them obviously in service you get you you gain strength and you know the the opportunity to really experience the experience reconciliation if he can continue to work I can be a struggle initially but two to gain and feel that freedom really from you know that the sins of the sexual sins associated with  use in the I can be very free and ultimately just the continue work each day again each day I step away from the the Hertz in The Addictive past is a step in a healthier Direction where you can be grateful and experience Joy both individually and in the relationships that are important is is like a drug in that it will have very similar about chemical responses in the brain you can have a similar dopamine Rush from viewing  and in acting out to that as you would from some of the more illicit drugs and that's been scientifically proven and obviously with the number of people who are attending to show you know what the similar type of addictive responses to  as as other drugs it is proving itself more and more and I know Society his is probably Laden in recognizing it and accepting that since  again being such a sensitive topic he is very difficult to come forward and bring out in the open you'll bring it into the light haven't talked about and give people a means to protect those who have not experienced it and help those who have there is hope I can example I'm a witness of that to an individual who would be out there struggling with and in any way shape or form not knowing if you got an addiction if it's something that even just casual viewing or otherwise hope Arthur and I would say Be not Afraid I'm here right now as an individual who experience the the shame really almost a self hatred for the actions that I had had now a relationship where I feel confident and comfortable in myself in my recovery because of that I'm able to share such great intimacy with my wife it's real sharing of our real selves it's nothing that is on it on a v the screen or involve anyone but the two of us and there is is such a joy and gratitude and just believing in myself just knowing when I I share a message with my wife it's honest you know so many lies from the past can just be such an anchor and to have that freaking sense of being truthful being honest and sharing that with the people that you love the most is that's amazing and that what it what lies ahead for anyone who works very hard themselves and is committed to a relationship and committed to moving away from the destructive effects of
