All Saints Parish House - The Priests Have Moved In.
January 2012
January 2012
Where there was once a hole in the ground on a lot near the top of the north driveway, now stands the new All Saints Parish House. Fr. Kelly and Fr. Wilson are pleased to announce that they have moved in and things are nearing completion. You can view snippets of the construction phase, the interior of the home, as well as a special segment on the chapel, narrated by Fr. Kelly, by clicking the links to the left.
The house was built to be home to three priests, including one living unit on the first floor to potentially accommodate a retired priest who may have trouble negotiating steps. There is great need for the presence of additional priests in the growing south metro area and it is our hope that readily available housing will encourage either healthy recently retired priests or assigned priests to be here at All Saints. It will be a great blessing for the community to have the priests near the church in a location everyone knows. We are grateful to the many talented people who made this possible. We believe the construction will honor the past and present of the parish as well as be well prepared for the future.
- Because of the mud surrounding the house, we are delaying an open house until later in the spring when it is more accessible from the church parking lot. Look for an announcement for the open house sometime after Easter.
- For logistical and organizational purposes, our contact information will remain the same. Please use the parish phone numbers and mailing address for any correspondence to the priests.
The building committee recommended the bid by Bob McNearney of McNearney Custom Homes. The vast majority of the funding is from the sale of the previous home at fair market value. Donations and discounts of some products and services are making up some of the funding gap.
