THE EDUCATION & FORMATION ADVISORIES
The Parish Pastoral Council of All Saints Catholic Church has charged the Education & Formation Commission (EFC) with the responsibility to guide the education and formation programs of All Saints Catholic Church, and to respond to the Catholic Church’s greater mission to bring the message of Christ to all. The faith formation programs seek to draw parishioners of all ages to Christ through faith formation, prayer, and service, thus opening their hearts to God’s revelation in sacred scripture, church tradition, and daily life. It is the commitment of the Faith Formation Commission that through it’s programs, God’s people may be drawn to deeper faith and service to others, thus participating in the reign of God.The membership of the Education & Formation Commission consists of registered parishioners, pastor, parish administrator and staff members responsible for education and formation programs. Each member is chosen by his or her respective advisory to participate as a Faith Formation Commission, which meets monthly.
Each of the program areas - Preschool, School, Faith Enrichment Program (FEP), Youth Ministry and Adult Formation has an Advisory Committee to deal with tasks and events particular to that formation ministry.
GOALS
The E&F Commission will support the work of its five advisories in developing and implementing a philosophy and belief statement. FFC will continue to review policies.
- Policies regarding education and formation programs should be gathered together in one document
- FFC will discuss priorities for the budget prior to the budget being set, reflecting a cooperative spirit among all programs
- FFC will develop a two to three year plan for formation and education programs.
