RAINBOWS is a peer support program for children in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade who have experienced a significant loss in their lives through death, divorce or other painful transitions.

  • The RAINBOWS curriculum runs in two parts:
two six week sessions and a special day to conclude each section called a Celebrate Me Day.
  • The RAINBOWS support group will begin with a family orientatation program on Thursday, October 1, 2010 at 6:30 pm.
  • The first RAINBOWS class is: October 8th.
  • The RAINBOWS program will be held at All Saints Church in Lakeville. All Saints is located at 19795 Holyoke Avenue.
  • All meetings will be held on Thursday evening from 6:00 - 7:15 PM.

RAINBOWS mission is to provide an effective peer-support group to help children and adults cope with their grief and pain.

When the children are engaged in exercises to assist them in the healing process, there will be adult education provided for the parents.

The RAINBOWS program provides a safe, loving environment where children and adults gradually learn to deal with their feelings, accept what has taken place in their families, regain self-esteem and find positive ways to go on with their lives.
