Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults
The RCIA process prepares adults for initiation sacraments, which are typically celebrated at the Easter Vigil Mass in the spring.Candidates and their sponsors meet together on many Tuesday evenings beginning in September and continuing to Easter.Candidates include:
Those who are not yet baptized preparing to celebrate Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist
Those baptized in another Christian denomination preparing to become Catholic and celebrate Confirmation and Eucharist
Plus those who were baptized Catholic, but not yet confirmed, preparing to celebrate their Confirmation (and First Eucharist if necessary)
