Preparation for Baptism: Infant and Children
Children are a miracle, a gift from God’s hand to parents’ hearts. God has a deep and eternal love for children and for parents. All Saints is delighted when parents chose to have their children Baptized in the Catholic faith. Baptism is a Sacrament the Catholic Church takes seriously. The responsibility to prepare, nurture and support parents as they prepare to bring their child to the font and to continue that relationship beyond the day of Baptism is a ministry of service and teaching. All Saints has established an approach to Baptism that tries to respond to the various needs and concerns of parents. We recognize that the questions of first time parents, or families returning to parish life after a lengthy absence, are different from those who have multiple children and have a consistent relationship with the parish. It is our hope that all families preparing for and celebrating the Sacrament of Baptism will experience the grace and love of Christ. 

Infant - Age 4
New parents attend two preparation sessions, usually held Thursday evenings. Baptisms are celebrated every Sunday of each month with just a few holiday exceptions. Contact the Parish Office at (952) 469-6479 to register for classes.

Age 5 - Grade 8
Families with older children who would like to prepare for Baptism are offered individualized preparation, which includes parent and child formation. Baptisms are scheduled after preparation is completed. 

Preparation for Baptism: Adults and Older Teens
Generally, adults and older teens prepare for and celebrate the Sacrament of Baptism in connection to the parish R.C.I.A. (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults). This formation program assists people in learning more about life in the Catholic faith. The candidates for R.C.I.A. will celebrate the Sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation at Easter Vigil Services.
