I was talking to a priest friends about this gospel it wasn't our dear Pastor father Wilson but this other priests or time out so hard gospel to preach on Jesus gives this great parable and then he explains it so what am I supposed to do but as always with the word of God there's much more than meets the eye much more than we would here initially I'd like to reflect on that word that we share that is sewn in that falls on different types of terrain in the gospel today what is that word what is are Castle talks about it being words of the Kingdom  and whenever the gospel speaks about the kingdom it it's talk what God's rain and throughout creation his being present imminently in at the center of it at the center of every being  it's this word is swing which God is present to us in the way that he comes really to save us and work for our Salvation to bring him back to himself I know where else is this more obvious than with with Jesus right he is the word spoken of by the Father the Son of God who becomes mad the word becomes flesh  assets to things we have going on here today we have two ways that we received the word we received the person Jesus the word and we also received recently received the words that he speaks  that's really what we're doing in the first half of mass every single time we we come to mass I know we obviously receive and Jesus in the Eucharist and with his body and blood in the Eucharist what about the first half of mass  it's just kind of like a couple of warm-up laps just you know what to get ready for the main event you know when we read the scriptures  well while it does do that  do the proclamation of the word proclamation of God's word which is written in human words as a play a profound Encounter With Jesus as well as it says that same word then that we here play in the scriptures especially in the gospel this where that has a power to it it it it further affects our salvation I think we really do believe that shut that does actually speak to us business speak to us in kind of a normal Highway that I'm speaking to you right now usually write a lot of times it's kind of hidden  sometimes we are we we have kind of maybe to just meet reasons why this word we don't fight it to be play bring your vote and affected our lives may be that we don't find it to speak to us I think I made the first reason is why we kind of approach they scripture and listening to it a reading it kind of like we do anything else that we read sometimes right it's just kind of like another thing that we see you on Facebook or another Maybe kind of with the skepticism of fake news and all that be like well as this really true or is this really not you knowing and all that it's kinda good to be true or too hard and so we can kind of start to look at the word of God is as I'm going I just an ordinary word when really  we believe and we know add the Lord does speak to us through that through this his word through this human word  and I think another key thing for accepting this turn really allow me to be a fruit in our lives  is that the word needs silence right  just as I'm speaking to you now you can't hear me unless there's an adequate amount of Silence so too and we receive the spiritual word we need an adequate amount of Silence in our lives especially interior silent so that we can receive that word otherwise it's at Rocky path that kind of the birds coming to snatch it away it doesn't really find a home it doesn't find a place an open space to allow routes to come down into our heart and into dwell there  is silence is also necessary to allow that weird to continue to grow into flourish otherwise you know sometimes we experience the scripture sometimes maybe and I hope you had this experience for your your your maybe reflecting on the gospel or whatever and you really really for that voort while Lord you really speaking to me at this moment  an accident credit that's an incredible gift for me Play continuing go back over and over to that that word I'm going to be fine that it goes deeper and deeper and it affects us in different ways  and we just need time for this in a lot of times that we're really busy you know  Emerald Teresa when she was talking to a priest who is saying that he was too busy really too tight take personal time for she told him well if you're too busy for prayer you are really too busy I think a lot of times I got even myself I try to Max Smite I'm going to go from one thing to the next and taking a full advantage of every single minute I have  what if I don't take that time for silent so I don't take that extra time for find out what I'm doing becomes more empty that don't allow God's word to inform that which I'm doing to render that work you know Africa Justin Bender at Fruitful it's early finds that I do more by doing less and praying more she with with God's holy word in the scriptures and allowing him to speak to me and allow him to give me we're not used to no readings turn a lot of reflecting on it there's a priest named father Larry Richards and he says he can't lose by the maximum maximum no Bible no breakfast Bible no bed  so he doesn't have breakfast unless he reads a little bit of the gospels whatever he doesn't go to bed until he until he reads a little bit from the secret and that's a part of his prayer it's a beautiful
