Young Voices Choir (Grades 2-8)
Two rehearsal options:
9AM CHOIR
Our adult choir sings a variety of liturgical music ranging from chant and classical music to music by living Catholic composers. 9am Choir members also sing as part of the Festival Choir. Teens are welcome.
Rehearsal: Wednesdays 7-8:30pm during the school year (during Festival Choir season, 9am Choir stays until 8:45pm to rehearse music for the following Sunday)
Sings: 3 times per month at the 9am Mass, September-May
11AM GROUP
Currently an all-female ensemble, this quick-learning group is a great choice for singers who are not able to attend a weeknight rehearsal but can practice at home. Repertoire includes music by contemporary Catholic composers and is accompanied by organ, piano, guitar, flute, and violin.
Rehearsal: Sundays at 10:15am, when scheduled to sing at the 11am Mass
Sings: Twice per month at the 11am Mass, year-round
MAN CHOIR
This enthusiastic group of men leads music at the 11am Mass once per month. New singers and those who do not read music are welcome. Man Choir is directed by Carissa Bartlett and includes contemporary Christian music.
Rehearsal: Thursday evenings once per month, 7-8pm (the Thursday prior to when the group sings for Mass)
Sings: second Sunday of the month at 11am, year-round
Small Vocal Ensembles
5PM GROUP
Rehearsal: 4:15-4:45pm, before scheduled Mass, year-round
Sings: Sat 5pm Mass, second Sunday of each month, year-round
This small ensemble leads the congregation by strengthening the melody and adding parts of the congregational music of the day. All voice parts are welcome!
7:30AM GROUP
Rehearses: 7-7:20am before scheduled Mass, year-round
Sings: 7:30am Mass, 2nd & 4th Sundays year-round
This small ensemble of independent singers learns 2-3 part choral music and harmonies on the congregational music of the day. All voice parts are welcome!
