Cantors

Cantors have a special ministry in assisting the sung prayer of the assembly, encouraging the assembly’s singing in a way that allows them to sing with confidence on their own. Cantors also proclaim the psalm in a prayerful and reverent manner. This role must be executed in a way that leads people to communal prayer. Due to the unique nature of this ministry, ongoing formation and training are encouraged and expected of all participants, and an audition is required.
 
We are in need of skilled singers to serve as cantors, especially at evening Masses.
