what gets you out of bed in the morning  some of you it's your children  come on it's time to get up come on come on let's go you'll probably hear that tomorrow even after this late liturgy thank God for celibacy huh for some of you maybe it's iTunes maybe your favorite song that you rock out to in the morning maybe it's you check your Facebook status or update it just woke up  or for some of you maybe it's the news or for some of you it's a nice hot cup of coffee choice this is what helps me to get up in the morning if you are call a couple months ago father Wilson preach. where you talked about happiness that true happiness comes when we follow the lord so often we associate happiness with the things of this world and he said the things of this world like coffee are good then he mentioned how much I love off preaching that right here I was having images of all the coffee cups the ones by my desk the ones by the vanity in the bathroom the ones at the desk in the office in the ones ready to go for 4 can coffee  and I thought to myself I'm I'm kind of attached and then and then  I realized that I couldn't make it a whole holy hour without a cup of coffee coffee bravery Bible  it was at that point I realized I'm addicted and I know what I need to give up and so I did and I had headaches with drawers night sweats but there was some some sweats but I made it through and I realize I can live without coffee it doesn't have to be my number one  in what got Mary Magdalene out of bed that your morning  what got her out of bed was her love for Jesus permission to go to seek him out end to find him  and so that's what she did she went to the tomb  and she was hoping to anoint his body and so she rolls early at Don  and she went to the tomb and what did she discover  emptiness emptiness emptiness devoid of meaning it was an emptiness full of meaning can add she peered into that dark tune the angel of Light came and gave her the message is looking for had gone ahead of her to Galilee  and that she would meet him there and this is an did you receive that news  Chico's and she meets Jesus on the way know Mary had that mission to go and seek out Jesus because she had been freed from sin and death we know from earlier and scripture that she had seven demons cast out of her  and she knew what true Freedom was and knew what it was like to live in the Light of Christ love and that propelled her and that was her mission that was her Mission because Jesus to her to break the bonds of sin and death and what are on the way to Proclaim that Jesus is not only conquered sin but he's conquered death and that there is eternal life what does Jesus tell her as he meets her go and spread the good news  away an author's to Glory give them a reason to get up in the morning and let that reason be me Jesus and so that's what she did  know that order of events is also the order of Prayer those three simple steps she went to the empty tomb trees listen to the message of the Angel and she encountered Jesus in his person in his sacraments for us we need to have some Tune Time not tube time  Tune Time sacrifice one YouTube video to Take 5 to 10 minutes to pray intellisyn  Angel The Mysterious Angel make give you a message you may not be lightning bolts for your splendor but it could be in your soul an angel will direct you each day the empty tomb the message of the Angel and Jesus and the same is true  for coming to Mass on Sunday we time  this lot of time and not only that we hear God's word and we encounter him in his necromance and this is how we will awaken to Glory  end as father Wilson preached on Good Friday he said during Holy Week he take some time to think about what's happened in the past year  and I thought wow that's great I will do the same  and then I was as I was thinking praying in my room I said Lord when did you awaken me to Glory this year and there were many of them  but he brought me to one specific event that happened the weekend October 7th through the 10th October 7th I got a call from the Little Sisters of the Poor and they said your friend Father Oliver Dufresne is dying Oliver Dufresne he was a priest for 70 years how do I say how many years have you been a priest father Dufresne was a free 70 years father Wilson 20 years so your own one third of the way their father  and he served the poor for three decades in Minneapolis a humble priest and visited him in the nursing home from high school called me I went to his bedside and he was on his last leg and he was laying in bed  and he kept saying I'm thirsty so play the nurses allowed me to take the little sponge and wet and moisten his lips you could see the satisfaction in his eyes and then afterwards we spend some time together praying the rosary and at the end of that I simply kissed him goodbye in the forehead and I knew I had a lot going on on Saturday and Sunday so I just said to myself okay I'll go back and visit him on Monday morning her Monday evening excuse me so the weekend came I heard no news about his death and so Monday how to do frame do I visited homeless shelter and one of the things he always said to me don't just need food they need someone to listen to them and so that's what I did I went and it was a non it wasn't a Catholic homeless shelter and I was listening and I had dinner with these these men and then I thought to myself okay it's time to leave I got to see father Dufresne maybe a last goodbye I'm leaving this homeless shelter and this woman comes towards the exit towards me and she's crying and she looks directly in my eyes she says are you a priest  said yes yes I am how can I help you she said well my husband's having trouble in the hospital could you pray over me  says okay turnover you we prayed and I mentioned something about jarez of the Sue I just said you know dress says prayers a surge of the heart and prayers just making where you're at known to God  and then I left her I said goodbye and that's all walking up back to my car I saw all these white roses and Bloom and then I got to my car I picked up my cell phone I looked voice I listen to the voicemail and the voicemail sister said father father Dufresne has passed away he's passing turn the light it happen this afternoon  and then it dawned on me Father Ollie you are interceding from Heaven you suck that hug  who knows we'll find out at the end of all time but eternal is closer  then sometimes we realize  end the Lord wants to speak into our lives access to live the resurrection that's what tonight's all about Jesus conquered sin and death  now in Xbox here is his chalice pretty simple but 1945 so how many mass is it better not drop this  think of how many masses were celebrated the mass of the Resurrection 70 years of priesthood of elevating this chalice and proclaiming the resurrection  so I ask you my brothers what gets you out of bed in the morning is it a cup of the things of this world the passing pleasures leading things or is it the cup of salvation  wake up brothers and sisters and for the Lord and He and you will find him  and he will find you
