Eucharistic Adoration

Spend an hour with Jesus!
Receive grace. Give thanks. Find joy.

Ideally, we prefer two people to be present for each adoration hour. Currently, many of our hour timeslots only have one person. Having two adorers for each hour allows gives you someone to rely on if you cannot attend. Please let us know if you can help.

Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration is the adoration of Jesus Christ present in the Holy Eucharist. People come to pray and worship Jesus continually throughout the day and night. This can be through personal prayer, reading the bible, reading other prayerful books and materials, or just having a quiet peaceful time with Jesus. The Church also prescribes as an appropriate sign of reverence, genuflection on one knee whether it be reserved in the Tabernacle or exposed for public adoration. It is essential that Adoration is always seen in relation to and flowing from the holy sacrifice of the Mass and never eclipses the Mass in importance in the minds of the faithful. He loves us without limit and offers Himself to us in the Holy Sacrament of the Eucharist.

Last Minute Situations
In the event an adorer can't make the scheduled hour of adoration, you (the adorer) should first call your prayer partner for your assigned hour; You should advise of your plans not to adore; If your prayer partner advises he/she will be there, NO SUBSTITUTE IS REQUIRED.

Longer-Term Advance Planning
      • More time is generally needed to secure long-term support. An extended absence may mean you will need more than one substitute to cover all hours. Please request support as soon as your plans are known. If your plans change, support can always be canceled.
      • For such situations as planning for vacations and other extended absences, you (the adorer) will still first call your prayer partner; If your prayer partner advises he/she will be there, NO SUBSTITUTE IS REQUIRED.
      • If your prayer partner has advised of their plans to not adore, or you have no prayer partner, you will need to send a message as described above in Last Minute Situations or request assistance from leaders.
