Blood Pressure Checks
We are currently without a coordinator of this ministry. There will be no blood pressure checks after Mass until further notice.
Attention all R.N.’s
Please prayerfully consider sharing the gifts of your profession with your parish. Opportunities to serve are available in our Blood Pressure Ministry. Nurses are needed to do blood pressure checks after Masses on the second Sunday of the month. We currently offer this service following 7:30 and 9:00 am Masses, and we would like to expand to all five Mass times. The time commitment after Mass is about 20 minutes. We are also in need of someone to coordinate this ministry – the primary task being to do the scheduling. Please contact Deacon Jim at (952) 985-9983 or jmarschall@allsaintschurch.com.
Nurses are available on the second Sunday of the month following the 7:30 and 9:00 am Masses for blood pressure checks typically in the Teacher's Lounge. No appointments necessary.
Blood pressure is a measure of the force of your blood against the walls of your arteries. With high blood pressure, that force is too strong and usually means the arteries have been narrowed by a build-up of plaque.
A blood-pressure reading consists of two numbers. The systolic, or top number, measures the pressure when your heart has just finished pumping blood into your arteries. The diastolic, or bottom number, is the pressure between beats when the heart is relaxed.
Regular blood-pressure checks can save your life.
Check the bulletin for upcoming weekends.
