Altar Servers Parish Contact: Aana Bendson ( 952) 469.6476
Young All Saints parishioners, grade 5 and older who have received their First Communion, are invited to become Altar Servers. Altar Servers assist the priest and deacon during Mass and therefore are part of making Mass a more reverent and prayerful experience for everyone. Altar Servers are encouraged to continue through their high school years.
It should be every Altar Server's goal to know his/her duties at Mass without prompting. It takes everyone some time and effort when you are new. It is helpful is to review the material that you received at training -- Procedures for Altar Servers at Mass is the handout that takes you through the entire Mass. It would be a good idea to look this over if you find that you need reminders from Father or another Server, or if you are just feeling unsure and would like to refresh your memory. If you do not have a copy of this, you are welcome to print a copy for yourself. Procedures for Altar Servers at Mass
