The work of the Justice & Service Commission provides opportunities to support Catholic Social Teaching through education and action. The ministries of Justice and Service are those by which we reach out to others to meet their physical, emotional and spiritual needs, and by which we seek to correct the causes of these needs. Such work is a direct response to the Gospel message to love and serve as Jesus did.
Are you concerned about social justice? Is there a social issue that you would like to get involved in or learn about? What does Catholic Social Teaching say about issues such as affordable housing, healthcare, abortion, poverty, immigration, war, etc? There are many opportunities to join with others in the good work of service and furthering justice. Bring life to your faith and faith to your life. Get in touch to find out more.
“We need to build local communities of faith
where our social teaching is central, not fringe;
where social ministry is integral, not optional;
where it is the work of every believer
not just the mission of a few
committed people and committees.”
