Dakota Woodlands
Empowering homeless women

to create stable futures for their families.
Dakota Woodlands, a non-profit human service organization located in Eagan, is the only transitional housing facility for homeless women and children in Dakota County. Families are able to stay as long as necessary as they work toward independent living and self sufficiency. Residents are provided with educational services and support, empowering them to address their needs. 89% of the residents move on to safe, affordable housing.
While 40% of Dakota Woodlands funding comes from public sources, 60% must come from private donations. All Saints' project helps to provide needed resources to women and families being served by Dakota Woodlands.
Dakota Woodlands' mission is to empower homeless women to create stable futures for their families. If you would like to learn more about Dakota Woodlands, including volunteer opportunities, check their website at www.dakotawoodlands.org or call 651-456-9110. Our Neighbors at Dakota Woodlands
Dakota Woodlands Item Drive – Thank you!
All Saints had a fund raiser and item drive to benefit Dakota Woodlands. Our project provided needed resources for reaching the shelter's goals. The drive took place from July 16 – 31, 2010 and netted $1,575.00 in cash and gift certificates and 20+ "laundry basket loads" of household items.
All of this will support the mission of Dakota Woodlands and assist residents as they work toward self-sufficiency. Thank you to everyone who supported this project. Dakota Woodlands' mission is to empower homeless women to create stable futures for their families.
